The Monster IcarPlay works well over all. If you live in a city you may have to change the channel to fine an empty frequency.
1 Star unusable
I have tried a thousand different radio stations in the DFW metroplex. This item is virtually unusable. I can’t drive 10 yards without terrible, over-poweringly loud static. As if there needs to be more bad news, this item does not charge my ipod. I would return it if I hadn’t thrown away the boxes.
Don’t fall for the low price…stay away from this product
4 Stars Quality Transmitter!
This FM Trasmitter is great because you can program different stations into the buttons, which is really nice driving for 4 hours. Usually I drive out of good range of one station and all I have to do is hit the next preset station and I’m good to go!
It is a little confusing to set the presets, but not a big deal at all! It has the instructions attatched to the cord so that when I forget, they are right there.
5 Stars Works with the new iphone
There is not much to say about this product except that it works really well with the new iphone 3GS and that there is vert little static from the radio.
A few little annoyances are:
From my own experience, I cannot pre program a radio channel since it resets itself when I change to another channel.
The transmitter is a little bulky and needs to be pulled out gently otherwise you might damage your electric plug in your car
Other than that, the cable is not too long or too short, it looks decent and I am very happy with it.
1 Star Not happy with Monster icarplay
I tried using this about three times and was not happy with the sound. You could dial it in to a quiet station but after driving around I would constantly start to pick up static. I have since moved on to another product that is directly wired into the stereo. I paid a lot more but it was worth every penny for nice clean sound.
