Great for men who keep their phones in their pockets. the case does not stick to your clothes when you try to take it out of your pocket because it has a plastic outer case. however the inside is rubber lined so that the protection is still great. very low profile case that is lightweight and doesn’t add much bulk to the phone. much better than any case that has a rubber component on the outside.

After a whole lot of research and paranoia over my new iPhone 3GS I bought the Speck Candyshell, and it’s awesome. Not only do I feel the phone is protected, but it still looks just as sleek. This case does not take away from Apple’s design quality, it merely protects it. The rubber inside doesn’t scratch the iPhone and in case you drop it, the rubber will absorb the hit so that your phone doesn’t. It came with a protective film for the screen but after applying it, I didn’t like the look and feel so I took it off. The glass screen is one of the most attractive features of the iPhone, and putting plastic over it just isn’t for me. I figure if the screen breaks I can get it replaced for about $50 at a repair store, and I can insure the device for $30 a year through my insurance carrier, which is much better than AppleCare because AppleCare doesn’t protect you from spills, drops, etc… whereas insurance does. My advice is to buy a Speck Candy Shell for protection and Insurance for peace of mind, and those two together are less than AppleCare.

Speck is what it is — in my opinion one of the best suppliers of things that keep my things from breaking or otherwise getting damaged. I bought this because I already have Spec cases on every MacBook Pro I own (or have owned) and they protect my Macs and keep them looking like new. This case is a typical Speck product — well designed, easy to use and it does exactly what it promises to do. I really like the new CandyShell because of the soft rubber interior (which I’m sure will cut down on those little scratches you get when taking a case off and reinstalling, and it will certainly provide extra protection). And the hard exterior shell seems like it will be durable and looks great. I have no problem recommending Spec cases for whatever you have, and this is no exception.
