1 Star Dissapointing Upgrade
Very dissapointed in the money i LOST upgrading. Theirs nothing new to it compared to the older models, that I can tell. I wish they made it with a camera or something, but since they didnt, ive gotten a very bad deal towards this, maybe its time to change to another MP3………..

2 Stars Low Build Quality
Although the iPod Touch has a lot of good features-I am able to download the GCN Radio Network/Alex Jones Broadcasts right from the iTunes Music Store, an application on the device over a WIFI network, I can’t recommend the iPod because the build quality is not very good.

I am having my device repaired on Thursday, September 17th because the headphone jack will only give me sound in one ear, regardless of which headphones I utilize with the device. And, since Sophomore year of high-school until now, I have had an iPod Shuffle, Video, and Touch that was replaced once or more.

I have only had this device since mid-July of 2009.

1 Star haha they had to bring down the price, Zune HD is too competitive
Isn’t that sad? Apple allowed Amazon to lower their prices because the Zune HD is formidable competition. I was waiting for the 3rd Gen to be announced. When they did…… Well you know what happened. ALMOST NOTHING HAPPENED!!!! So now I have switched sides. Lets hope it’s a fair fight.

5 Stars Not the 3rd generation, the current generation, but still good
For all those on the fence out there – waiting for a new iPod Touch with a camera or buy the newest ones just released, I love my new 64GB Touch. It is faster than the older 2nd generation Touch, and the Voice Control features works in my car to control the music, hooked up to a cable connect and the headphones at the same time.

I give it 5 stars because it is what I wanted – an iPod Touch large enough to hold my 40gb of music, with Voice control in the car so I can control it hands free. I don’t need a video camera – I have a video camera. I don’t need a still camera – my cell phone does this. I don’t need VOIP, my cell phone works just fine. And I don’t need GPS, I like the current one I have. I would love those features – trust me, I had a tiny bit of envy when the Nano came out with a camera and the touch didn’t (please tell me I wasn’t the only one to get that pun).. But I don’t love those feature enough to wait for them, or enough to terminate my contract with Verizon and just get an iPhone.

BUT – this might be important for those on the fence. No matter what Amazon calls it, or even CNET reviews, this is not the 3rd generation iPod Touch. Apple is calling it the “current generation” or the “newest generation”, only to eventually call it the 2nd generation. Even Apple did not think it was enough of an upgrade to give it a new generation. I can’t speak to the rumors about what this means for when the 3rd generation is coming out – because we all know how true rumors about the iPod Touch have been lately.

5 Stars For First-Time iPod Touch Buyers: It’s Amazing!
I just bought the 32GB 3rd generation iPod Touch and it’s truly an amazing gadget! I was upgrading myself from a shuffle and was holding out until the 3rd generation of Touches was released. I am a working mother with two children under 5 and don’t have time to listen to music (except for the radio in the car) or read or even be organized. I need a personal assistant! Enter the iPod Touch! It’s a mini computer that is helping me stay connected to the web via free wifi with an amazing array of productivity and lifestyle apps to make my life better.

Within 3 minutes of opening up the package, I was connected to iTunes, the device recognized my wireless connection at home and I was surfing the web at lightening speed (much faster than my laptop). The fact that there is no learning curve is remarkable. Many of the apps seem to work better on the Touch than they do on a regular computer screen. A couple of clicks and screens and you are all set up and on your way!

This is another life-changing piece of technology like DVR. The best $300 I have ever spent on a gadget.
